WeTip was created as a safe place for the community to anonymously report crime and aid law enforcement. WeTip ensures absolute anonymity to people in need of assistance but would prefer to not identify themselves. All too often people are confused about what should be reported to the police. Some common examples of suspicious activities that should be reported would include:
• A stranger loitering in your neighborhood
• A vehicle cruising the streets repeatedly
• Someone peering into cars or windows
• Domestic Argument that sounds violent or close to violence
• Illegal Drug Use
• Signs of forced entry or tampering with security or safety systems.
Crime prevention cannot be achieved by the police alone. The community must work together with law enforcement to keep the neighborhood, our families and children safe. If you see suspicious activity and require emergency assistance do not hesitate to call 911. If the situation is not considered an emergency you can submit an anonymous tip by phone 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477) or you can go online to https://wetip.com/submit-anonymous-tip-2/
REMEMBER:
Community members are only to serve as the extra “eyes and ears” of law enforcement. Simply report the observation of suspicious activities and allow trained law enforcement to confront any suspicious activities.
